pasqu4le	7d346d9975	Add pending block operations ... Problem: a lot of problems are created by tracking the importing progress on multiple tables. Querying and updating involves as such heavy operations and this is also the cause for inconsistencies. Solution: use a new table to track the progress of block's data indexing. By using a specific table, whose rows are deleted when there are no more pending operations on the relative block, we make joins quick and keep them to a minimum. This is also meant to simplify all inserts and updates and only perform deletes when strictly necessary.	5 years ago

Ayrat Badykov	eef64e47b5	optimize ERC721 inventory query ... Inventory tab for ERC721 doesn't load any token transfers because query is timing out. Looking into the query, it does a couple of unnessary joins: 1. with `transactions` for `block_number`. But token_transfers already have block_number 2. with `tokens` to check if `token_transfers` are for ERC-721 token. But the query is only executed only for ERC 721 tokens One more issue that I found is that the query uses distinct by `token_id`. But we don't have any indexes on `token_id`. So this PR adds index on `token_id`.	5 years ago

Problem: executing the existing sql script to validate internal_transactions constraint is too slow (or even gets stuck) for large DBs and its progress cannot be checked. Due to race conditions described in #1911 transactions from a consensus block might get overwritten by the same transactions from a non-consensus block. goodsoft	8e6ee4ceb1	Use eth_getUncleByBlockHashAndIndex for uncle block fetching ... Parity returns `null` for many uncle blocks, if they are fetched using `eth_getBlockByHash`. This is most probably caused by the fact that Parity only keeps full block data for recent non-consensus blocks. This causes uncle_block fetcher to loop endlessly trying to fetch "missing" blocks, hogging both app server and Parity resources. Instead, we use `eth_getUncleByBlockHashAndIndex` method, which works for all uncle blocks. As we didn't previously store index of an uncle block within a nephew block, a new field and a temporary fixup fetcher is added to get the index from nephew blocks.	6 years ago

goodsoft	ea7d0d007f	Optimize token holder count updates when importing address current balances ... Problem: realtime fetcher transactions takes too long and often fails with a timeout. The reason of timeout is deleted_address_current_token_balances step of import, which selects previous balances for the rows we are going to update. The SELECT query it makes is extremely slow. Solution: we incorporate fetching old balance value into the upsert itself. This is done by help of a transient old_value field, which is updated in ON CONFLICT clause of INSERT with the previous value and returned.
