Since we do not always pass MenuItems to the render_drop_down_node helper, we unfortunately must pass the selected state of its contents in that case. Instead of generating a new error message when applying custom field errors on the customizable model, simply copy the already existing error message from the custom field, and save the symbol for later API processing. This saves both time and avoids errors when CFs require additional attributes for humanizing the error messages.	9 years ago

ulferts	2c47657de7	unified date field for milestone work packages (#4437) ... Work packages having a type that is a milestone receive a 'date' attribute in their API resource. Other work packages still have the 'startDate'/'dueDate' attributes. The schema behaves analogous so that such a change is visible to a client. In the cient we can now remove some of the custom behaviour for the date field. The code removal is limited to the new inplace edit implementation as the old implementation can hopefully be removed fully in the near future.	9 years ago

This changes the disabled default option for required select fields to select that by default and disable it. The project table is extended to also have the "Latest activity at" column which shows the date of the latest write operation within the project. https://community.openproject.com/work_packages/22858 Models can register for being considered when the latests activity date is calculated. This mechanism can be and is used by core and can also be used by plugins. It is unfortunate, that the mechanisms already in place by acts_as_activity could not be reused, but it would have required a complete rework to make it happen. Another shortcoming of the current implementation are the sql strings generated within Project::Activity. It would have taken more time to rework them into Arel and as the improvable code is limited to one class and a clean interface separates it from the rest of the application I deem it ok to stay that way for now.	9 years ago

For actual development, users will need the Rails stack anyway, so it won't make sense to keep a separate set of dependencies up to date. * Instead of `gulp webpack`, use `npm run webpack`. * Instead of `gulp watch`, use `npm run webpack-watch`, which is *drastically* faster than gulp watch-polling. * Instead of `gulp tests:karma` use `npm run karma`, or just `npm test`. This also removes all traces of express and restores the Rails styleguide. It is not whitelisted for precompilation and is only available in the context of the development mode. To access the styleguide, use `/assets/styleguide.html`.	9 years ago
