The mechanism was extracted from the rails stack where the locale is taken based on (in that order): * The user's preferences * The accept_language header * The system settings Only languages, that are enabled by the instance are valid. This is especially neccessary since our Settings use the request store to determine, whether they need to invalidate the cache key. On occasions, the CI reports the same feature spec to be failing due to a StaleElementReferenceError, however the stacktrace suggests that this error stems from the extraction of node texts after the actual query within one retry of the synchronized selection. The stacktrace begins that error inside `synchronized` and deep within `result.failure_message`. 120daaa856/lib/capybara/node/matchers.rb (L97) Thus this commit suggests to use the simplest `find` selector to locate the element, which does not access its contents.	9 years ago

Oliver Günther	2b0ac5f86e	Use heuristic check to determine binary files based on null bytes ... The git adapter currently has a bug that denies to annotate regular text files when the author name has an umlaut. This commit changes the binary file detection by simply counting null bytes. This may not detect all binary files correctly, but that isn't a requirement. The original check was arguably used to avoid rendering large binary files in the browser.
