The error behind it is that new work packages are retrieved with `relations` being `$loaded = false`, and that link is loaded with caching, thus an old value is returned from `$http`.	8 years ago

The frontend needs to normalize the relationType retrieved from the API to either that, or reverseType when the shown work package is the `to` link.
