Sebastian Abondano	36d3d95e68	Improve transaction#getstatus API endpoint Why: * To increase the accuracy of `transaction#getstatus` API endpoint results. * Issue link: https://github.com/poanetwork/blockscout/issues/743 This change addresses the need by: * Editing `transaction#getstatus` API endpoint to use the recently added `Chain.transaction_to_status/1` function. This improves the accuracy of the errors by providing a reason of `awaiting internal transactions` for transactions with a failed status but for which the final "real" error message will only become available after processing the internal transactions. * Deleting `Explorer.Etherscan.get_transaction_error/1`. It's no longer needed.	6 years ago
Sebastian Abondano	6be5bc81b7	Derive status from internal transaction at index 0 Why: * Issue #757 was created after we noticed a few constraint violations for the `error` column in the `transactions` table. The constraint violations came about as we attempted to update transactions with a successful status but some value for the error field. The constraint is violated in this scenario because we expect successful transactions to not have an error. [EIP 658](https://github.com/ethereum/EIPs/pull/658), which apparently is also called [EIP 98](https://github.com/ethereum/EIPs/issues/98#issuecomment-318670322) , says that the status should be set to 1 (success) if the outermost code execution succeeded (internal transaction with index 0), or it should be set to 0 (failure) if the outermost code execution failed. We're currently deriving the status from the last internal transaction when in fact we should be deriving it from the first internal transaction. * Issue link: https://github.com/poanetwork/blockscout/issues/757 This change addresses the need by: * Editing `Explorer.Chain.Import.update_transactions/2` to set the error for a transaction equal to the error, if any, of the internal transaction with index 0. * Editing `Explorer.Chain.Import.update_transactions/2` to set a transaction's status as successful if it's internal transaction at index 0 doesn't have an error, and as failed if it does. This only applies to pre-Byzantium and Ethereum Classic, for which transaction status is not set from receipts.	6 years ago

Felipe Renan	53cb6de504	Handle multiple values when reading Smart Contract functions We received the following error when a function executed by the contract returned multiple values: ``` an exception was raised: ** (FunctionClauseError) no function clause matching in Explorer.SmartContract.Reader.new_value (explorer) lib/explorer/smart_contract/reader.ex:272: Explorer.SmartContract.Reader.new_value( %{"name" => "narcoName", "type" => "string"}, ["Justin Sun", 0, 0, [8, 6, 9, 2, 2, 37], [0, 0, 0, 0], "m0310100904381635021206170608010621080706", 6, 33, [1533368345, 1533331805, 1533339540, 1533333875, 0, 0], 277, [72, 29, 59, 0, 1, 0, 2, 73, 0] ] ) (explorer) lib/explorer/smart_contract/reader.ex:268: anonymous fn/3 in Explorer.SmartContract.Reader.link_outputs_and_values/3 ``` As the returned values match with the ABI outputs, we are relying on output's index to fetch the correct value for each output. This commit also fixes the template to deal with different results, such as: `[8, 6, 9, 2, 2, 37]`, that is an array of numbers but the Phoenix view considers it as a char-list.	6 years ago

We noticed this wasn't the case when looking into a couple of flaky tests on CI. This commit should also make sure the tests don't randomly fail any more. Igor Florian	d460fb8d50	Deal with :bad_gateway errors while querying contracts functions We were counting on a specific error standard from ethereum_jsonrpc for formatting the errors from the SmartContract.Reader and we ended up getting an exception because we were getting a different error. There are at least two different error standards returned from ethereum_jsonrpc: 1. ```elixir { :ok, [ %{ id: id, jsonrpc: "2.0", error: %{ code: "12345", message: "<message>" } } ] } ``` 2. ```elixir {:error, {:bad_gateway, "<url>"}} ``` We're now expecting the :bad_gateway error so we can format it properly.	6 years ago

In order to this work properly, I'm moving the query that gets token balances from the last block to a sub-query and moving the condition to consider just values greater than 0 to the main query. This way we are sure that we always are considering the last block and we are skipping the ones that have the value equal to 0.	6 years ago

This is an optional parameter. When given this filters the returned transactions to only those in which the given address matches the `to` field. When not given, the address provided could match the to, from, or contract address for the transaction. * Editing `Explorer.Etherscan`'s `list_transactions/3` to support the new `filterby` flag mentioned above. * Editing API docs data in `BlockScoutWeb.Etherscan` to include information about the new `filterby` flag added in this commit.	6 years ago
