Martin Linkhorst	eb3c743c59	fix encoding stuff and finally figured out that piece of weird code ... ruby is somehow unable to detect the encoding of a file. reading an utf-8 file returns a string encoded as US-ASCII. this method forced an encoding (just marking it as utf-8 without changing it) and then checked whether it's valid (a file which was utf-8 encoded will then be valid, other's won't). if it's invalid then (as a fallback) String's encode method is called. the bug here was that force_encoding changes its receiver and then encode will be called on that which confused ruby even more…	12 years ago

Martin Linkhorst	1ae58c11d0	* unfortunately there are still two implementations ... of #stylesheet_link_tag in the rails source code, the new asset pipeline way and the old way. one prepends "/stylesheets/" the other "/assets/". chili's Hook classes included the old helper module which generated the old path. this commit should fix that, so you can put project specific css files under "/app/assets/stylesheets" (don't forget to add the file to the "config.assets.precompile" list) * make the base.html layout file more descriptive	12 years ago
